Some projects we have worked on include:
- Matta tracked an internal hacker at a university who had taken over admin credentials and compromised tens of thousands of user accounts. The student was arrested when Matta traced them.
- A large international company had data used against them in a legal case that only could have come through an internal source. Matta’s investigation found the likely cause of the compromise
- A Director thought his emails were being read. Matta’s investigation was able to prove that they were, and had been compromised for 2 years. Matta identified the person - who was subsequently dismissed.
- A large company called Matta on New Years Eve struggling with a new variant of the Confiker worm. They were not able to eradicate it after several days of working round the clock. Matta was able to immediately respond and got their network back in control within 48 hours.
- A large financial company had their international website hacked. Matta identified the SQL injection that the hackers used, and worked with the developers to resolve the issue, and to ensure they had no lingering issues.
