Companies need to be prepared for incidents when they happen, but it's hard to account for every possible outcome. Matta can assist to bring a rapid and effective response to help your department should the unexpected happen.

Matta has been involved in responding to many incidents, and we know how diverse and urgent the requirements usually are.

The fundamentals of our response can be determined as the following steps:

  1. Determine if the incident may result in court action, as this requires a specific approach that preserves the "chain of evidence"
  2. As quickly as possible determine if an incident has actually occurred. Sometimes this is obvious, but we have been involved in several responses, in which the incident was explained through normal operations
  3. Form and deploy a team comprising the right skill set to deal with the incident

Matta's incident response team has caught, and with legal assistance, effected arrests of hackers.

In a previous incident, Matta helped a large company's data centre 'hack' in to their own systems to gain control after their technical team went on strike

Matta has helped companies track down how attackers has compromised their network, while working with forensic specialists to create forensically secure copies of log files and hard disks.
